On June 24, 2024the Office of the People's Advocate (OAP), represented by People's Advocate Ceslav Panico, signed a collaboration agreement with the NGO ASEM Business Law Clinic (CJCA ASEM), represented by its Director, Alexandra Tighineanu.
The agreement outlines joint activities to support young professionals and enhance collaboration between the two institutions. Events will be organized where OAP will present its offerings for young professionals, contributing to raising the visibility of legal careers and promoting human rights. Additionally, CJCA ASEM students will participate in meetings with OAP leadership and staff, fostering direct dialogue between future professionals and current practitioners.
The People's Advocate Office will review the curriculum for student training to ensure its relevance to the labor market. The agreement also includes consultative assistance from OAP in solving issues, strengthening the strategic partnership.
Another key aspect is the provision of free primary legal assistance at the request of OAP, in the areas of expertise of CJCA ASEM, offering support to those in need of legal advice. Furthermore, information about volunteering opportunities, internships, and job openings at OAP will be shared with students, promoting active engagement among young people and facilitating their transition from students to professionals in the legal field.
This collaboration marks an important step in strengthening the relationship between the associative sector and the human rights protection institution, ultimately aiming to improve the legal support provided to the population.
