On May 30, 2024the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova hosted the Round Table on "The regulation of labor relations in the context of the latest legislative changes: problems and prospects".

The event was organized by the ASEM Business Law Clinic.

The round table created a space for dialogue and exchange of ideas between practitioners and theorists in the field, employees and students, giving them the opportunity to explore topics related to current issues of labor law: the latest regulatory changes in the field of employment relations, working time and rest time, particularities of the individual employment contract, multiple work, prohibition of discrimination in employment relations, harassment at work, settlement of labor disputes, etc.

The event was attended by established specialists in labor law: Nicolai ROMANDAȘ, university professor, PhD in law; Eduard GURIN, President of the HR Committee of the European Business Association, lawyer; Dorin JOSANUexpert in the commission on harmonization of labour legislation with EU requirements; Felicia PĂSCĂLUȚĂPhD in law, lecturer at the USM; Irina CIUDINsenior advisor, National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova; Ruslan DAVID and Cristina CREȚUsenior inspectors at the State Labour Inspectorate, etc. a.

During the discussions very topical issues were raised, which provoked questions and heated discussions, and some participants mentioned that they found answers to some of the questions they came to the activity with. The organizers and participants met again next year for a larger event where they will continue the discussions on the topic of employment relations.
